Sacrament of Confirmation
Confirmation is one of the Sacraments of Initiation in the Catholic Church. In this sacrament, baptized Catholics receive a special outpouring of the Holy Spirit that strengthens them to live their faith more fully and courageously. Through the anointing with sacred chrism and the laying on of hands by the bishop, candidates are sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit and are called to be active witnesses of Christ in the world.
Preparation for Confirmation helps teens grow deeper in their relationship with God, understand the teachings of the Church, and take ownership of their faith. Throughout the program, students participate in formation sessions, prayer experiences, service opportunities, and community life within the parish.
Confirmation is not the “end” of faith formation, but rather the beginning of a mature life of discipleship, where young Catholics are sent forth to share the Gospel through their words and actions.
For more information about Confirmation preparation or registration, please contact our Youth Minister, Idalia Francisco. She will be happy to answer any questions and help guide your family through the preparation process.
