Our Lady of La Salette will be enforcing new requirements in regard to celebrating Quinceñera's.
As of 2025, the Catholic Church in the United States has introduced updated guidelines and formation programs for quinceañera celebrations, emphasizing spiritual preparation and alignment with Church teachings.
A quinceañera is both a wonderful cultural event as well as a religious milestone in a young woman's life. Preparing for this event includes reviewing the Faith, understanding its role in our life, and reflecting on our own vocation in life.
Requirements
- The family must be registered and active in the parish for a minimum of 1 year before applying for a Quinceañera Mass.
- Parents must meet with Father Mark Starr.
- The young lady must have completed the first year of Confirmation preparation with satisfactory attendance.
- The young lady must attend the Quinceañera Prep Class offered twice a year, DATES TBA
- The gentlemen of the court must meet with Father prior to the celebration.
Other Information
- No glitter is allowed
- Cost due at reservation: $1100.00, of which $100 should be in cash as a glitter deposit. This will be returned if there was no glitter.
- Practice for the Mass will be on the Wednesday evening before the Quince.
- It is important to be on time for the Quince Mass. If the party is 10 minutes late, the celebration will be a celebration outside of Mass. If the party is 20 minutes late, the celebration will be cancelled.
- Please note that if a sacramental emergency occurs, the Quince Mass might need to be moved.
